So what happens when your post is deleted?

I bet you'd get upset.

At least with the situation as it is now, there is always the opportunity for J to decide to bring back all or part of a thread later if he thinks it merits it. You can't squirrel specific posts, as far as I know, and asking him (or anyone) to babysit thousands of posts a day is unreasonable, considering the circumstances.

The Algorithmics would make a good name for a band.

Anyone else think Go Surface's avatar is a little too much? What can I do about NSFW avatars?

Or how about a little restraint from the members here.

People should restrain themselves on the interweb because it's NSFW for you?

I would also note that the avatar, while perhaps "racy", is simply a reproduction of what I understand to be a print ad running in major magazines and the like.

The point of this thread, if you read the first post, is for moderators to explain specific actions, not for posters to argue with moderators about moderation policies. In fact, it is clearly stated that you should take your concerns to PM.

I am the supermoderator and co-administrator of this site. That I tend to take a hands off approach and also allow posters to ask for clarifications should not be taken as license to exercise your First Amendment rights here, because they do not exist. Your argumentative tone is getting increasingly tiresome and I am going to tell you to stop arguing with me on this thread. Now.
