Sorry late reply: GS, its going to be tricky shortening the sleeves on the Vanson because of the zipper. I also actually like it that length for some strange reason. Kind of covers my monkey arms, which are too long for my body. SoCal, yes, sir, I can move in that jacket although it doesn't seem like it in the pic. The leather's soft and supple now after 8 years of wearing. nyc, I wore a dark brown belt.

Okay good. Nothing I hate more than that thick, stiff and spongey leather.

SUPER comfortable (at least the ones i own). TBH, they're not any heavier than other leather shoes, just the appearance makes them seem heavy with the double sole, thicker welts, higher toe box, etc. I'm sure they do weigh a little more but it's nothing I notice and go around thinking "damn these shoes are heavy".

mjk, looks great! one of my favourites from you. Those jeans fit you very well, and the shoes is a great change from those sneakers you usually have.
