Maybe their asses are alkaline?

But how could their excrements etch windshields? Do they contain hydrofluoric acid?

Bird **** - hit certain patches of my old car and the paint would not be repaired by regular means.

I'd like to limit my knowledge about bird **** to a minimum, but the windshield certainly looked matted, like it had been etched.

Yes, if you take it to the dry cleaner it can be removed most likely. I actually had the same thing happen to me. I was wearing a black cashmere sweater when bird crap landed on my shoulder. Just tell the people at the cleaners what it is so they can put extra care into that spot.

Yes but it is on my stomach not at ******...

And by the way, when you eat very spicy food, like indian or mexican, it burns your ass when it is going out...

I wish all those birds who shat on my car to have hemorroids !

I think a the some of the damage potential from bird crap depends on the species of bird and its diet. A seagull once ruined a pretty good Ralph Lauren shirt of mine. On the other hand, my parrot's poop is pretty easily cleaned up with water and does not seem to stain.

Got the shirt back today. It was cleaned within 24 hours of the "event," and it looks as good as new.

We are happy to hear that the bird crap does wash out with no problems. Still - I know I get always get nervous when the little buggers are fluttering around just overhead on a wall or roof. Been shat on once by pigeons , and it did NOT bring me any good luck - whoever made that one up musta been on crack while wondering under a flock of heavily sh*ting birds.

I have always been conscious of birds, and usually look for a covered spot when there is a flock of them overhead. This time, it was dark and I didn't have any warning. I find them a little creepy, and have respected their powers ever since seeing the Hitchcock movie: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Birds_(film)
