Historically, the Dutch have done some whaling, I think, but I highly doubt that you could even sell whale meat in Holland these days.

What does whale meat taste like?

I took my GF's 9 year old nephew to see Transformers and to eat while she was at the Kenny Chesney concert. He wanted to go to Chilli's so I had 3 margaritas, chips and salsa, and half rack of habaner sauce ribs, a half rack of dry rub ribs and fries and cinamon apples. The ritas really hit the spot.

I make regular food too. Nothing new here, but today I'm cooking:

Chili
Keller's Boeuf Bourgignon
Lentil salad with dijon vinaigrette (probably my favorite salad)
Red beat salad with red wine vinegar & orange vinaigrette
vichycoise

My diet won't be very diverse over the next couple of weeks b/c I'm making everything in advance so that I don't have to cook. I have a bunch of tech exams I need to get out of the way asap so I need to spend my time studying instead of cooking. This stuff is all quite simple to prepare.

Right now I'm eating a Boca Burger on a Whitewheat bun with organic spinach. It's disgusting.

Cat restaurant last night, welcoming friends who just moved to Paris:

poelee de girolles et foie gras
tournedos rossini
pot de creme a la lavande

They picked the wine; it was great, but I didn't get the name.

No ortolan (or are you just not at liberty to say)?
