Unless I'm mistaken, you appear to have a pair of EG Pelham? in your collection. I am considering ordering a pair with some modifications although I haven't decided exactly what I want to change (minus the heel counter or minus the heel counter & toe cap etc.)

I would be most grateful if you could post some additional pics of the Pelham.

I got these Alden 911 off ebay, they looked good in the listing so I was stoked when I won them for $61-ish shipped. I got them today and my jaw dropped, they are just incredible. They have a faint staining which makes them look even better.

Looks good. That is natural salt / ice / water patina there. I have a pair of similar AEs with similar results.

Brown SF Tramezza Accento via Holdfast. It's a quasi-wholecut with medallion as there is only one seam on the side making it look like a plaintoe from the side. I love the seamless heel and the shape. Tramezza are very well constructed and the best fit for my feet.

Interesting. If that's the only seam, then it is a whole cut, and no need for the "quasi."

Don't "true" wholecuts have NO seams?

they all have one seam, usually on the back. this one is just moved up 90 degrees

I wonder if they would look better if the seam was on the arch side of the shoe. It would literally look like a single shell of leather from the back, side, and front. Anyways those are really beautiful. Sleek non-outrageous toe shape, unique medallion, good color, everything

Well, except for the infamous, supposedly Ugolini made seamless wholecut, they all have one, albeit usually at the back of the heel. But what makes a wholecut a whole cut is that it is made from one piece of leather, as is the case here.

After 6 months from ordering, the gunboats have sailed in

Vass Budapester brogue in navy calf. These fit PERFECTLY, and the navy is really cool. Very subtle, closer to "midnite blue" but def looks blue-ish in good light , which is perfect as I didnt want a cartoon-y blatant blue.

All the things everyone hates about Budapesters is what I like....the heaviness, thick doublesole, tall & chunky toebox.....PERFECTION!

Soles have metal toe tap (added the plastic heel taps locally).

All in all, I am super happy with how they turned out and cheers to Andrew Harris and Gabor
