Nice pickups as usual Chris. Why did you sell the Ann D boots, and where did you buy them in the first place? I checked out If last week, but they don't have my size. Thanks for recommending the place though, I had never been there before. I think I might go again tomorrow to check out the sale.

dont people get sick of color? jeezus.

calden, the reason i sold them was because she did two versions for spring; a glazed leather, and the distressed leather. i wasnt too fond of the glazed pair. IF has the distressed pair, and although im pretty sure they dont put her footwear on sale, let me know if they happen to be marked down!

Double RL Raw Selvedge denim for the girlfriend. modern cut(8'' rise hip hugging slim bootcut)(!) unlike the japanese jeans I've seen. A runner up was denimbirds, but the RRL won out on pocket stitching. The dragonfly thing is girly on men but not bad on women, I suppose.

It's funny, she used to always make fun of the **** I go through when I buy new raw jeans, (the cold soak, tumble drying for precisely 21 minutes, wearing the jean while slightly damp to stretch out the top block+knees, waiting for BiG to open its doors early in the morning so I can get my jeans hemmed while they aren't busy, wearing them when they're still tight pre-stretch, pushing my stacks down until they're set, etc.,) but now, she's going through all of it herself. At least the fact that the denim was sanforized[?](~1-1.5 inch shrink after cold soak + tumble, but salesman said not sanforized) saved some possible mishaps.

She made fun of my 5eps for not having a selvedge coinpocket. Hidden rivets > selvedge pocket. :'(

Related: can anyone speak of the denim fabric quality of double RLs? Construction looks decent. Indigo retention seen in other threads is a plus.

Haha. So stupid. If you want to impress her, though, get a pair of SPURR jeans (any cut will do.) There is selvedge on the outseam, fly, coin pocket, and back belt loop.

I picked up a black B. Son henley. Remarkably good deal. I am liking the fact that a lot of brands are now making high quality basics at a reasonable price, filling the vacuum in my wardrobe left open by A.P.C.'s repositioning.

Just came back from NYC. I didn't have too much to spend so I didn't go wild...

- YSL pink/white striped shirt from C-21
- Neil Barrett sneakers from Scoop NYC
- Random knit sweater from H&M.

I also bought a black tiger fleece Spruce hoodie from a forum member last week.

It should do my wardrobe some good!

Hmm...some good ****

1. Polo Explorer cologne (new fragrance, and I love the scent)
2. Some great Uniqlo stuff...merino wool grey cardigan, tons of socks, crewnecks, and a merino wool crewneck sweater that I might return, don't know
3. Ted Baker Espirit Oxfords (hope they fit)
4. Steven Alan trench (tried it on in the store, and it's $250 cheaper online). ******* badass
