WOW! Well if anyone deserves them you certainly do. I dont think there's anyone who has done more for that brand among the shoe buyers here. Looking forward to the pictures.

Now, let's see if EG and JL are going to do something similar for AP.
What about Vass, G&G, and St. Crispins?

Kiton and Berluti?

I don't recall AP bought any Kiton, G&G and Berluti. Only a handful of St. C and Vass is not nearly to the extent of JL and EG.

I really started getting into clothing a few months ago and decided that if I was going to rebuild my wardrobe from scratch, this was going to be the last time and I was going to invest in nice things that would really last if I took care of them. I have been mostly reading this forum (although at first it was the GQ forums, which is not enough about Trads IMO), and I have really taken a liking to the styling of the AE's. I finally got to try on a few pair yesterday and while I thought I wanted to build my shoe collection of AE's, I now am certain. These shoes are amazing for someone in my price range, it will take me several years to have a decent collection going. Also, reading this really made me respect AE even more. A company that appreciates its customers is not seen as often as should be expected, and definitely speaks volumes to someone like myself. Congrats Jan, can't wait for a pic of these!

That's cool. Hey, if SF has that much pull with AE, maybe we could get them to design some more contemporary lasts (like an 888 or JL 1150). It sucks that for a lot of people the only options for welted shoes this side of the Atlantic are $900+. AE has huge distribution.
