I placed my third order in January and was charged in April. Ricky told me in June that he had lost my measurements. I asked for a refund, which he promised but never delivered. I just found out today that Visa won't help me with the credit card dispute since it's been over 90 days. No more Jantzen for me. Even when I call, some guy just mumbles something unintelligible and hangs up. I guess I'll start saving up for a Cego order.

If you are trying to call Jantzen, I would suggest doing it at 8 or 9 pm HK time. When I had a fitting, they had me come at 9 pm. David told me he is in the shop until midnight. The shop is empty in the evening and they will have time to talk to you. If you call during normal business hours, it is guaranteed that they will be swamped with live customers at the time they are trying to talk to you.

I was going to order some more shirts, but it looks like it will be quicker to wait until I visit HK again.

Well I placed an order for 12 shirts despite all the mess that is going on. The ordered was placed on 07/20 and I just got an email from Ricky stating he received the order and it would go out ASAP. So maybe there is hope left, or I just got lucky. By the way this is my 5th order with Jantzen, and I have had no problems thus far other than the 3-4 month turn around which is not really a problem for me.

Randomly, Ricky e-mailed me yesterday saying he got my order and was on top of everything. I wonder if he had just been swamped for a while with the move and is now catching up with internet orders. Either way, unless this new shirt is perfect, this is my last order.

Am I crazy to send one of my shirts to duplicate?

I have one RL that is an excellent fit but an ugly color that I could stand to part with for a few months, has anyone had experience sending shirts to Jantzen to duplicate?

Turnaround time is less of a concern than losing my shirt. Thanks.

I had no problem sending them a shirt. It may actually help facilitate the whole process.

Yes. I love Jantzen, but they are famous for poor customer service. I would not send them a shirt that I really wanted to get back.

I'd be more concerned about the postal service losing the shirt either to or from Hong Kong than Ricky never returning the shirt. Of course, there's a risk either way. However, if the shirt is that ugly, it may not be that big of a loss.

How much would you guys pay extra for an intermediary person to help handle Jantzen orders?

(not that I'd handle them, I get off work way after Jantzen closes, but I'm sure others wouldn't mind)

If it would get my shirts in a couple weeks, or even a month, I'd gladly pay an extra $10-$15 a pop.
