I'm a fan of retro-futurism. Steam Punk is a big part of R-F. LK might like these computers. http://link.brightcove.com/services/...ctid1135486277

I'm also a fan of steam punk. Some of those devices are really beautiful, but the guy's persona definitely borders on tacky. That said, if I had disposable income I'd purchase one of those keyboards.
Less tacky
Those are quite gorgeous. I'd love one on say, a Gio Ponti desk reupholstered in navy blue shagreen.
Here is a blog they showed: http://www.brassgoggles.co.uk/brassgoggles/ Be sure to scroll down and check out the short movie "A Gentleman's Duel." It's made by one of my favorite animation studios.
I like the steampunk aesthetic, but have a hard time imagining it working well in real life. Seems like you'd need an immersive environment. What's the point of building a steampunk computer to sit on your Ikea desk in your one-bedroom apartment built 10 years ago? I wouldn't mind a small private den done up entirely in the aesthetic, though. Lots of dark hardwoods and brass.
