Slimmer fitting workout shorts?

I am on the smaller end of the spectrum, and I dislike most of the baggy fits of exercise shorts, and anything at or below the knee is longer than I like

I am looking for the type I can use for the gym, mowing a lawn, lounging around the house, etc

could anyone point me in the right direction?

Go to the Running section of your sports store.

American Apparel sells board shorts and gym shorts if you're going for that "extra on The White Shadow" or "captain of the adult kickball team" look.

If you're not going for those looks, Nike soccer shorts are very comfortable and light

I agree with the other posts. If you look for running or soccer shorts, they are all made with the intention of being shorter. They'll also come in several different styles and brands.

Well, dont misunderstand, I am not looking for particularly short shorts, just slim fitting shorts usable for workout, lawnwork, etc, without being absurdly long, as many sports styled shorts are these days, due to urban influence

Running shorts are very tight and usually very short. I think the OP wants something half way between basketball and running shorts, presumably in a technical fabric. I've looked for the same thing and the best I've found is hiking shorts (trail running shorts also tend to be a bit looser and longer than regular running shorts).

I usually buy womens shorts. Much better cut with less full legs.

LOL lolo lolo

I would reccomend the OP watch the movie perfect for some inspiration..

Old clips of phil jackon as a knick should provide the same inspiratin-albeit a sickening one.

This thread should be banned

Running shorts can come pretty long nowadays, but they all hit above the knee. I have a pair that hit at mid thigh and a pair that hit an inch above the knee. I don't wear the former pair much since I'm not as confident in my thighs as I was when I was in cross country.

Bump.

Yes, running shorts come in a variety of sizes, but they all tend to be extremely baggy. Except bi and triathlon shorts, which are skin-tight.

I'm looking for shorts that I can wear to yoga and weight-lifting. So they should be stretchy, not too revealing (tights are acceptable in the yoga studio, not the weight room), and slim enough that they don't fall down when I'm standing on my head.
