This thread is a wish list of sorts.

From things you are thinking of purchasing in the near future, to things you hope to get someday. From thinking about buying a pair of shoes, to a hooker, to a house, to a private plane, to an island, to a Presidential election ; your imagination is the limit.

I am currently thinking about purchasing a Sandisk Sansa E260 or e270 for the trip to Tokyo.

Italian coastal villa similar to Villa Ephrussi

Plus a ton of suits, a wife, nice-sized house in Miami and a townhome in Belgravia, and another one in Georgetown. My expectations are entirely too high

+1. I'm going to trade in my stupid ******* ipod real soon.

As for what's on my mind right now, one of these:

For real, as in the next year to eighteen months:
  • A Lotus Exige or a 2004ish Jaguar XKR.
  • A pocketwatch, hunter cased.
  • A stainless steel Longines wristwatch.
  • A gunmetal Zero Halliburton briefcase
  • New Digital SLR
Absurdity:
  • Aston DB9
  • Lister le Mans

  • Bespoke Huntsman Suit
There are many other little things, but nothing else major that isn't related to an esoteric hobby.

That would be nice...

For me... someone buy me a 3 page essay on the long term benefits of FDI in Africa outweighing the short term costs. Writing with a fever is difficult.

What is absurd is that you can get an 8GB Sansa ($164.88), a pair of Grado SR 60's ($62.10) And a 2gb MicroSD card to upgrade to 10GB ($21.47) for less than same price as an 8gb iPod. ($249) the configuration I've been thinking about recently is a 4 or 6Gb, SR 60's (or a sealed can Sennheiser HD205 for $20 less) and the micro SD card

I hear ya. I actually have an old Mini that I bought years ago for $200. I saw my uncle's Sansa a short while ago and came away really impressed. It's got a ******* FM tuner! I've been meaning to do it for a while, but since I haven't been listening to music much while out and about, I've been putting it off.

While we're on the I'm sick of my **** and need to have it replaced topic, I need to get rid of my Razr too. So, I'm thinking about a Pantech C150 (because it's just a simple damn phone), or something thereabout.

Within the next year or so:
  • Pentax K10D or, more likely, its successor
  • Pentax DA* 16-50/2.8
  • Pentax DA* 50-135/2.8
  • Two replacement suits--one each navy and charcoal
  • Something really nice for Mrs. Tyto--I have my eye on a custom jewelry piece

Within the next 5 years:
  • New house (4 bdrm)
  • Honda Pilot or Odyssey (hybrids?), unless. . . .
  • Something really, really nice for Mrs. Tyto

Pure fantasy:
  • A house in West LA, preferably the Palisades or Los Feliz, but Santa Monica *might* be okay
  • Private school for Fledgling Tyto
  • Some incarnation of the 911 or Cayman
  • Something obscenely nice for Mrs. Tyto (maybe a senator or rep.?)
