I had one awhile ago, when I was 16, for failing to stop at a stop sign. Nothing since.

That's awful.

Could 'Daddy' not have a word with the Superintendent of Poilce when next in the bar at the Golf Club and get this harrassment stopped?

It must be near impossible to keep to under 20mph for example, in a Range Rover or similar vehicle.

did anyone else just get a Great Gatsby vibe? the nouveau riche are just so tackless nowadays :p (or, the pretend ones at least) on the subject of traffic tickets, I just turned 18 and I've been driving an average of 25 mph over the speed limit since I got my license, and haven't gotten a single one

! although I've gotten pulled over 3 times. one of the cops even called "Daddy" (I'm being seriously though, he really did) when he pulled me over. needless to say, my dad was not happy. I think it ended up working out pretty well actually, because it might just be why he caved in and got me the car I really wanted. it's much harder (or maybe just more scary) to speed in an SUV that must weigh like a bajillion pounds and feels like it's gonna tip over if you take a sharp turn at 80

I've had 9:
2 - Failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident (these are bs mandatory)
1 - Improper lane usage (wrong way on a one way street)
1 - Disobeying a traffic signal (not coming to a complete stop turning right on red)
5 - Speeding (all were the lesser offense, <25mph above the speed limit or whatever, one was about 30 over but the officer dropped it down)
That being said, I've never been given a "warning" and let off without a ticket, but I don't care, the police are doing a job.
It's a pain, but all you have to do is get a lawyer to drop the charges down to "non-moving violations" or go on court supervision and they stay off your record. I've done that for every one (paid for by myself!) and my driving record is as clean as a whistle.
