he seems not to have sold that one. Its for the days he goes au naturale and leaves his left-foot prosthetic at home.

Look, if the guy wants to put on a different Vass shoe on each foot, what's wrong with that? It worked for everyone from Agnelli to teen-agers wearing Chucks in the 80's right?

When I took those pics Gabor had one shoe from each pair to use as samples.

but what do you pair with spectators?
Those look good with washed jeans and lighter summer colors. I think the last time I wore them it was with some PDC washed jeans, a French blue/tan checked shirt and a tan linen sportcoat.

Would you have a photo with any of your tan/brown spectators?

Would you also have a photo with your Vass version of red-on-left-foot, blue-on-right-foot 90's Doc Martens look?

Also, do you have a close-up of the chestnut/dark brown spectator?

Also, if there's any chance we could see that contrasting Vass look on a few different floor, pavement, and soil samples, I'd really like to see how the tones match up. And of course, a shot of them on a pile of hundred dollar bills and diamonds would be endlessly helpful as well (I find that the light refraction from the diamonds causes unusual tonal shifts in certain grades of leather, so it would be nice to determine whether I could wear these in my bathroom).

It's subtle, but such a thing does exist (slip of the keyboard, point taken)

I found some pics. The colors are looking more red on my monitor than the shoes did in person:

Sorry, I meant photos of you wearing them, but those are great too. You have the best file photos.

It is dark brown and cognac. I actually never wore the Vass specs, when I finally got the other shoe back from Gabor I was really broke so I sold them. They were cool shoes though.

Harris -- top left in the very first picture = Vass? Those are the perfect jeans shoe IMO.

I agree with drizzt, not only because my legs are kinda like his, but because you need a rugged 'country' last since jeans send a rugged cowboy kinda message.

Yep, the two pair on the top left are custom Vass, based on their Budapest last. A lot of guys hate the shape of those shoes, especially as they do not photograph well, but I love them with jeans.

I've seen a pair in Bergdorf and I just didn't like them, classic though they may be. Didn't look... dainty enough.
