Constructive opinions welcome with possible other watches of a similar style to check out. I really like the late 60's Breitling Navitimer, but I'd have to wait for my father to give his up I think!

To be fair to gld, his post was no less constructive/informative than the one to which he was responding...and you did ask what people thought of it.

Leicas aren't necessarily that expensive. A new one is, but a used or vintage one can be had for under $2000.

Please let me know if you ever want to get rid of this watch. I think it's just about perfect as far as handwound time-only dress watches go; my only (minor) quibble is that the movement is a bit small compared to the case. I prefer it to the Lange 1815 and AP 3090.
