Dang, Brownshoe, that's a helluva entry. Gutsy and bold. In a tweedy way. Love the pocketsquare.

Gosh, thanks!

I admire your photos in the WAYWT thread--you are really making me crave some monk straps, and I love the narrow cut of your trousers.

Great, now I sound like Leggy Mountbatten.

Really, though, that's kind of you. I dig StyleForum--wish I had more technical knowledge to offer, but you guys seem t have that well covered. I'll just pop in these photo threads as long as people find it amusing.

Well, here is what I threw together. Pardon the shirts as they just came out of the dryer and pardon the lack of detail in some pics as my expert fotog (8 year old son) is in bed. Some loud, some moderate, some sedate. Please be gentle. I'm disqualifying myself as I won't make first or second and I own the third and fourth place prizes.

edmorel,

I do not have the eye Manton does, but to me #1 and # 2 are absolutely excellent. The #2 pic is something I would like to put together and wear. Great contribution.

eit: What are the jackets in the first two pics, the roped sholders look very Zegna-like.

edmorel and brownshoe, your entries are amazing. I'm glad the shirt is gettin' some props. It's BB. I only, however, have one suit, so...

Very nicely done, Ed. Kent would do well to enlist your services for pics on his site. Those pictures just raised the stock in Kent Wang Squares a hundred-fold for me.

I suck at taking pics of myself but here is my first entry: Beaded stripe DB suit, windowpane check shirt, striped tie, paisley silk puff square (bought from edmorel!).

Thanks. I'm a bit over 5'9" and a pretty standard 38R so not that tall. That's a Corneliani DB and I love it. Sleeves still need to be shortened but it's a perfect fit otherwise. I'll post more pics once I have it altered. And I love that square, as well as it's cousin in cream with purple paisleys you sold me too.

Ed, the contrast edge squares are a nice touch. Not a pattern per se, but they serve a similar purpose.

Sir, do you not know your own product??? The squares have a white leaf pattern. There is a lot of pattern interplay.

edmorel--I think you could take this whole with picture one or two--I particularly admire the top pic. Gray trousers with that?

Miga, thanks, count me in that shirt's fanclub.

El72, that DB really works on you. I particularly like DB suits used for aggressive pattern mixing--kind of a stylized thirties/forties look that evokes those great Apparel Arts illustrations.

I also love a country version of the look--tweed herringbone db suit, tattersall shirt, plaid tie, chunky broges sort of thing.
