This pic is rather old. I actually took it off the black (OEM) strap and it has been on a medium brown alligator since then. Havent much experimented as I think it is a perfect complement to the case and dial colors

I agree with that. The Reverso family is going in the wrong direction IMO. I like what JLC is doing with some of the new sport models (e.g. Amvox and Amvox 2), but not with these new Reverso...

I was wearing this humble watch this weekend. It's a Hamilton Khaki Officer LE (handwind). The lack of AR coating sucks but it's a fun watch

Have you looked at Roland Murphy's watches (RGM)? There are a few there that are worth a look IMO
