Only at its ver, very best can it even be considered foppish. Normally it belongs to a catagory for which I do not have words.

A bit perhaps but I have one on a MTO Borrelli in royal oxford white and it looks very good.

Hello again everyone.

This cuff style is also called 'Bond' after you-know-who. It was suggested to me by 'Don' at Trend Tailors in Toronto. I had never actually seen anyone wearing this style 'in the wild'; and still haven't. I do believe the comments here pro and con are both valid. It is IMHO a stylistic flourish - and a flourish it is - not suitable for all occasions.

I cannot bring myself to wear this to my conservative office. I'm not sure it's even suitable for business. I do wear it for walkabouts in the smarter areas of the city, parties, dinners, etc.. I do believe that it has to be accessorized properly - no pleated pants and boat shoes, no large rings or watches. I wear these shirts sans jacket with darker wash jeans and RM Williams. Looks ok on me. Lots of nice comments. No snickers that I've detected. Some may have gone undetected tho'.

I could see wearing those cuffs with a blazer or sportcoat out clubbing, but not for business. I think I'd like them better if they were some variation of the French cuff rather than a double button cuff.

I'm wearing them right now, now comments as of yet more on the shoes tie and square. Pink tie wit hgreen flowers green boat shoes and green with pink edge square.

EL72, you like the rounded cuffs? I was told that rounded cuffs should only go with a rounded collar but I have a Jantzen made like this that I rather like. Mine are French and not button cuff, though.

That strikes me as absurd--no offense. Aren't almost all barrel cuffs, unless they're mitred, rounded at the corners?
