Between the Office photo editor and basic MS Paint, I'd choose MS Paint which will rotate an image with no distortion (look in Start -> all programs -> accessories) but Paint.NET is still a better free alternative. Actually, Paint.NET is not from Microsoft per-say, it just requires Microsoft's .NET framework to run. Paint.NET is actually opensource (freeware) and was developed at MIT as a "Microsoft mentored" project. GIMP is awesome but since it was developed for linux and later ported to Windows, it has a bit of a learning curve when it comes to navigating around the program. sorry for rambling, I'm a geek....

My grandma made my dad play the accordian when he was a kid. He hates it...

or download google's picassa. it's free and has basic editing stuff like resize, crop, rotate, even contrast, etc.

I am partial to Irfanview. Have used it for ages now and it does everything and a bit more. Good for a free program

hehe, I love that it was a discussion about my supposed hair loss and family relations when I slept

Sorry guys, the accordian player isnt a relative at all, he was playing (with two more people) swedish folk music on that weird boat/ferry trip I mentioned. He seemed like a great guy though, so I wouldnt mind if he was my grandpa...

regarding my hair, Ive shaved it for style reasons the last 8 years or so, but I think it might have started thinning out on the top along the way, so I guess there wont be any more fancy hair cuts for me.
