I've read a couple older threads about this combo, most didnt think it was good but some thought it could work. There were no pics to be specific though so I am posting one here.

I think that if combine it correctly, and dont have too much of a serious look on your face, then it can work well for a club (wouldnt do it in a bar).

What do you think?

**Note: Looks like 80%-20%, obviously not a mainstream look but in a few years who knows

I was searching for a good word; leave it to LK to come up with the perfect descriptor.

The look certainly doesn't work in that picture and I can't think of a combo that does.

And a gargoyle still not out of puberty at that. If you want to put something to wrap around your neck with a polo consider a light scarf or handkerchief instead. The only way you could pull off a tie is if you're performing in a rock band.

This is one of the harder looks to pull off, and I'm afraid you didn't. To my mind, it requires a jacket and a solid black tie in a knit, grenadine, or poplin.

Normally, I might have voted "Eeeh.. doesn't work in this picture but could work if done differently" but after that photo, I have now changed my stance to "Yuck.. doesn't work in this picture and could never work"

I'm sorry. That look requires you to stay at home for the evening. I can imagine parents grasping at their kids' hands tightly as you walk past them.
