Not sure about this jacket - probably keeping it but thought I'd post it up here as it's quite an interesting one...

Grenadine(ish) knit patch pocket blazer.... likey or no likey?

A friend of mine wears something quite similar fairly often in summer. It's quite a nice look, but it has to fit absolutely right. Too tight, even in a slight way, and you'll see a stretching effect in the fabric due to the relatively open weave.

Yup - spot on. A friend at work tried it on and it was slightly too large. The weave over the shoulders opened up slightly and you could quite easily see his shirt through the jacket. Seems to fit me quite well though. If I only had the description to go on - I'd say burn it - but in the flesh it's quite nice

Seems very nicely made. Great breast pocket. What's the material? Looks like it'd be lovely to wear in the heat, although one would like in constant fear of snagging...

Um, I just realized that you actually own this and might be looking to get rid of it. If it's a 42, forget everything I've written. It's an ostentatious dishrag of a jacket. I'll be happy to throw it out for you.

It's a 40 and quite a snug 40 at that...

You're right about the snagging. One bit of bad luck and it's game over!

Isnt this a jersey-jacket? A whole lot of italian brands are making these. Its basically i sweater-jacket, usually completely unconstructed and unlined. I like it alot as a not-at-all formal option.

It feels different from a Jersey Jacket. Not as soft. It's unstructured and unlined so kind of along the same lines.

Nice, I bought some thing similar on Yoox a couple of years ago but sent it back as it was too short.
