Years ago, Toronto's greatest "dandy" George W. Bartello used to have his shoes made by Nick. Most were some variation of a full or partially brogued Ewardian ankle boot, most often in a subtle combination of suede and leather. The styling was good, the worksmanship was not. Not at all like what I am used to by any of the better European makers.

A great oppourtunity to buy the Cheaney Dack's for $250/pr if the sale is still on,
or if they'll even have size selection to choose from.

I thought Dacks closed down. Maybe that was just here.

Hi,
The best place to go is to a shoemaker called Nasser Vies, he's located in Leslieville. He makes custom shoes to whatever you specify, and measures them to your feet. They're all leather and really good quality, hand-made shoes.

He's been mentioned before on this forum if I remember correctly. Do you have any experiences with him?

House of Salgado in the TD Tower downtown claims to sell custom shoes.

I know a guy who had a pair made through them recently. Only seen the pictures on his FB feed, was quite happy with them.

Hi everyone i am 21 year with experience hand made custom shoe maker

yes in forum what writing it's true in Canada shoe manufacturer already shut down because china-india and the other overseas countries supplying too cheap but this doesn't mean who can make shoe manufacture in Canada don't earn good money i think they earn more than shoe importers
because this kind business make you unique..
WALMART- PAY LESS -WINNER-SEARS-ZELLER AND THE SHOE COMPANY THEY SELLING MOST OF FROM CHINA and cheapest shoe if is leather 80-90 $ and i give you exact price for one pair shoe product cost in Canada between $ 35-$ 45

that's way is my future plan to open shoe manufacture and on the LABEL SHOW MADE IN CANADA ....MAKE SENSE?

.i planing to open shoe manufacture in Ontario SPECIAL-ORTHOPEDIC AND CUSTOM HANDMADE SHOE BUT IF I SAVE ENOUGH MONEY FOR INVEST :((
