Are there any size 8Ds out there? I think I had a find at the Salvos today - a pair of PRL loafers. I'm pretty sure they're shell and, if I'm right, probably made by C&J. Any interest?

Picked up my unlined unstructured casual suit from alterations yesterday. Andback at the office, the first reaction I got after 'What another suit?!' was 'A suit? In casual style? Huh?'

If thats indicative of anything, we're pretty screwed.

For more details, you know where to find

I saw those two hanging up when I went for my fitting, great choices on the cloths. I was very impressed by Patrick Johnson, on my first fitting all it needed was for the sleeves to be shorten by half a centimetre.

- I have to agree & hence am happy with my 6 suits, 1 SC, 7 shirts & various pantaloons over the last 6 months. In the process of replacing 90% of my schmutter - For the $$ it is hard to beat for service, knowledge, style & choices even when compared to OS. - I can't believe that WW Chan now takes on average 4 months WTF

P Johnson Qs..

I'v just checked my SF PM box & there are over 10 PMs over the last month about P Johnson, ranging from time to delivery, cloth choice & $$$

May I just suggest you all to contact P Johnson as I am just a customer.

If not, this has been covered in detail in the SF P Johnson thread.

Sorry, I'm not about to answer all the PMs when a simple phone call will suffice.

I assume some of you have also messaged me via the my bRog - just call Patrick (SYD) or Tom (Melb)>

I am glad PJ is working out for you, I agree for the $$ is very hard to beat, I'll definitely be ordering a few more garments. My Sydney bespoke tailors are only producing garments at a snail pace.

I haven't heard the word 'schmutter' in years, but when I do hear it, I think of this: (go to 3:52 and watch for about 20 seconds, warning: may contain traces of champagne comedy) I'm loving all the P Johnson stuff, too. I might have to make a trip to Sydney in the future...

Anyone know where I can find a set of good MOP buttons for a suit in Melbourne? Turns out harder to find than I first thought.

I've changed the link, hope it works this time! Either way, it's worth it.

Interesting. Thanks for the heads up, apropos. Once my weight has settled down (i've lost 15kg over the last 6 months, but I want to wait until I plateau) and I have some spare coin, I might just have to push the button ...
