If there's something specific you know you'd want, call the NYC store and see if they've got a good price. I just did that with some SC shoes that I spied earlier here. Paid for shipping, which basically equated to what sales tax should have been (no tax as they have no CA stores).

There's a risk of buying an incorrect size without physically trying them. I believe that PS doesn't accept returns on Sale items.

Sale now on. Just had a quick glance but looks like decent prices on Herring's own shoes, plus Church's and others. I have ordered from Herring in the past and had swift and efficient delivery to Canada (shoes came faster than from pediwear)

Speaking strictly from a sartorial perspective, eternal sunshine is hardly a good thing. With colder temperatures in, say, San Francisco, you have much more opportunities for layering or simply wearing a jacket. It's too hot for me in LA anyway.
