+1. Are they a special order or regularly available through a certain retailer?

Just added my suede tassel loafers to the B&S thread. I love them, but my wife does not.

Alden noob question - what would be your best to-go Alden boot for wearing with winter flat front flannel pants ?

I would explain - now I'm doing mosty suits with black oxfords or jeans with brogues / suede chukkas (and browsing through your SF posts helps a lot!)

What I'm really struggling with is to select boots that work with smart casual wool pants..

My understanding -
chukkas (and other plain toe shoes / boots) - more to do with chinos and jeans
Indie boots - in my opinion this is mostly jeans boot, no ?
brogue shoes- I have several brown ones different shades but I find really hard to wear them with anything than jeans (though I know people are building just gorgeous looks with suits so this is just me)...

Where I am wrong ?

For pairing with flannel (i'm thinking some slim flat front wool pants from epaulet) what I am eyeing now are several boots such as captoe boot, jumper boot, maybe longwing (though not sure if it will work)..

Oh and I'm thinking right now black because somehow I can't manage to match grey with brown boots (maybe it is some subtle texture in pants that does not work well with brogues since grey with brown is considered classics.. or it is just me)

Any recommendations / pics?

To be honest a black plain toe shoe, pain toe boot or chukka would work well with winter grey pants.

Not sure you think these only work with jeans/chinos, many people pair PTBs with suits.
