Ground zero of learning how to dress yourself is buying the clothes and not the label. Brands should be used by producers as a means of organizing vision and used by consumers as a nebulous indicator (but not guarantee) of craftsmanship. That's all.

One springs from the other, but judging art by the artist is silly. It's like saying Hemingway's marriage affair cheapens the worth of his literature.

If Hemingway were an artist watermarking things with his mistress's ******, it would. If he was a writer doing the same, it wouldn't. ZB is the latter case. Until he starts making leather jackets with the face of Jesus adorning the back, who gives a ****. Being label blind should work both ways. If you're not going to wear jackets because Brad Pitt does, you shouldn't not wear them because Pol Pot did. Edit: The above analogy is difficult because it turns out very few dictators had good fashion sense. Go figure.

A lot of dudes on SZ wear those CCP jackets because Brad Pitt does, though (0) And then they act offended that Hollywood is on their fashion turf.

Agreed the only rick jacket I'd want is an oiled calf intarsia moto. Could be in various color ways though... black or grey/dust or one of the pearl/white colorways.

RFX yeah that jacket is absolutely the thickest leather I've encountered. I doubt you could float it in cali summer nights except for somewhere that's perpetually gloomy like SF ;p Definitely not in socal.
