How long should I expect to wait for a Jantzen?

I own shirts from virtually all the high end RTW makers generally discussed around here (Italians like Borrelli, Barba and Finamore, Brits like N&L and T&A...) and I can say without a doubt that the shirts I enjoy the most are my Jantzen. My RTW shirts I like the most are my Udeshi

Ricky and David turn shirts around for me in 3 days if I am in rush. Never longer than a week.

While I think they could charge more for their shirts, the quality is nowhere near a $300 tailor made shirt. Might be as good as a $300 off the rack shirt, but you are mainly paying for a label on that.

That's what I meant. I can't compare to $300 MTM shirts as I don't own any, but I can compare to high-end OTR shirts as I own a bunch

In the end nothing fits as well as my Jantzens. Barba and Borrelli RTW come close. They are much higher quality (vastly superior MOP buttons, nice handwork, and the collars seem to always look better), but the fit just isn't as good. Ricky's fabrics, though, can be very good if you stick with the JKTs.

The buttons are by far the weakest part of my Jantzens. I wish Ricky would upgrade. I'd happily pay more for really good ones.

Though I had to wait 4 months to get a shirt from Jantzen, I think the result was worthwhile.

The fit is far better than revered brands such as Borrelli, Barbera, H&K (and certainly Lorrenzi) RTW. It´s true the quality of the fabric (even JKT) isn´t as good, but it´s not far behind, either, and the selection is vast. And the workmanship, IMO, is just as good. My second Borrelli began bubbling on the shoulder after few washings, and was cut too short. The Jantzen is far better value.

I think you have to do more than just wait patiently, though, with Jantzen. My first shirt got lost, and it was only by calling Ricky that one finally arrived.

Of course, if you are in rush, or don´t mind spending hundreds of bucks for a high end MTM, don´t bother.

Agreed. And on my last order, I was stuck with the paper thin MOP. They look very cheap, but I'm too lazy to replace them.

Interesting - I love mine. I've always been lucky with my Jantzen buttons (if not with the regularity of deliveries...)

I always order the thick MOP buttons and I think they're great. I agree that the thinner ones leave much to be desired.

My new Jantzen just arrived. Looks great, fits great. I upgraded to the thick buttons on this one, and they are, indeed, much better than the thin ones. I'm not nuts for thick buttons like some guys are, but the luster on these is much nicer than on the regular thickness. I think I'll stick with them for my future Jantzen orders.

How long should I expect to wait for a Jantzen?
