nice to see some new posters up in here.

Teen_Suit_Wearer and others, welcome, keep posting, and don't let your first reaction to the responses be to get pissed and slink off. Seriously, think about what's being said and work with it, it's all good stuff that's in your interest.

Teen_Suit_Wearer specifically, Luftier and others hit the main points there already.

That is a nice jacket. Would look better with a slightly lower button stance.

Teen Suit Wearer, don't take this the wrong way... but talking from experience, high school isn't the time to be dressing like that. You don't want to be that guy.

(Think I just realised, it's crab hands?) The get-up rocks, btw! Nice use of a bow-tie, there!

Something like this, to mimic the crab hands!

Until my graduation, which was yesterday, I was that guy. Truth be told, most people, especially when you get as close I have to my peers (small school, small town, advanced courses with only a few people), people realize that "that guy" is just another person with his own style and eccentricities. Teen Suit Wearer, be yourself, and do not attempt to conform to the sartorial hell that is the Western World's school systems, for it seems that is not who you are.

Thanks! I don't really see a reason to get pissed, because people are only trying to help. The only thing stressing me out is whether I should get all my suits tailored or not...I have another one that's a grey Joseph Abboud from Nordstrom, and I love it. I'm pretty sure it will last me a long time. However, it does not fit perfectly, and I feel the urge to take it in. But if I ever outgrow it, that will really suck. Maybe I'll just tailor the DB for now.
This year, I've definitely made several fashion mistakes. Dressing up too often caused me to be somewhat awkward. In fact, many guys believed I was a homosexual, simply because I dressed well.

So while I continue to be myself, I've decided to be a little less formal. There's nothing wrong with dressing up from time to time, but doing it every day just doesn't feel right for high school.

yep. Have patience, the time for the suit shall come.. But the lunch room isn't the ideal place to be rocking a full DB suit along with boutonniere, puffed pocket square, tie clip, and a brand spanking new pair of Edward Greens.

also aeglus, like the fit, but i think a different shirt would look better. Maybe just a lighter or darker grey, that shade just isn't working for me. Dig the jean fit though, and dope jacket of course! Got my hours cut at work so I've been mostly doing streetwear looks but here's one from a couple days ago. Too lazy to do a full shot. New pocket square, and the cheapest tie I own, care to guess what brand is is?

Alterations can usually be undone? I had no idea. Now I just need to figure out how much alterations will cost... Oh, and also, I have two scraps of fabric that came with the Joseph Abboud suit. That should help.

Ok, second outfit that I post in this forum. Let me point out some of the flaws myself to spare you the time:

Yes, the jacket is a bit on the short side, as goes for the sleeves. It's an old favorite RL blazer that I don't want to depart from as of yet though. The tie is a bit askew in the first pic. The khaki's could have been more well pressed and I should really change the shoelaces to a more brownish pair.

Besides all of that, I'm in love with every piece of garment covering my body today, and as I understand people are interested in brands and so on:

Jacket - Ralph Lauren Polo
Shirt: Tommy Hilfiger
Tie: Knitted wool-, mohair- and alpacca mix.
Watch: Vintage Jules Jurgensen
Belt: Torino
Pants: Re-tailored Dockers
Shoes: Carlo Mazzanti (A quite unknown Italian shoemaker)
Pocket square: Unknown brand, got it from my grandmother a while back. Might have been my grandad's when he was still alive.
