Holdfast, you look very Italian today. I like it. Especially those nice lapels and the chukka boots.

They're similar, for sure; suede chukka boots with a moderately thick crepe sole. I think I've read somewhere (maybe here on SF!) that the ones in Bullitt were Sanders. These ones are Zegna, main line I think. I've had them a few months or so now and worn them quite a bit; love them.

This looks great. You remind me of that iconic photo of Elliot Richardson.

Also, does anyone else think the guy to the right of the photo looks like a taller Paul Reubens?

I think that's Sterling Gillette. 3 very different looks, but I actually think they all work, in their different ways (assuming the colours make sense when not b&w). Cravate looks the best IMO. Is the suit undarted? Can't quite see for sure.

Thanks! The lapels aren't quite Lapo-sized, but are certainly a bit fatter than I normally wear. Nowadays the lapels are only a bit wider than average (and in a classical sense, they're only marginally wider than is traditional anyway) but when I got it, it was near the height of the skinny lapel craze, so they really stood out!

I was in two minds about getting it, but I loved the fabric (not just the look, but also the feel of the silk/cashmere blend), so... in fact, despite that initial uncertainty, I've even had a small hole in it rewoven a while ago because I'm so fond of it now.

Very Italian turns out to be quite accurate on a more prosaic level too, totting up the countries of origin of what I'm wearing. Shoes are Zegna, Jacket Zegna Couture and trousers Loro Piana. Mind you, the shirts English and the cotton sweater is Polo... but even that might have been made in Italy (haven't checked).

Yes, it's Sterling on the right.

Very nice casual wear indeed, I see you are strolling in the beautiful Observatorielunden! May I ask what pant you are wearing?

Yes! I was thinking exactly the same. Looks great otherwise.

Great fit today, lufty. I really think you need sleeker lasts on your shoes, it would improve your looks significantly.

Black or midnight blue? Even more props if it's black, as it looks great!

The shirt and tie are

but the suit looks great! Taper the pants, they will look much better.

Very nice until I saw the shoes. I don't think they work quite well here. Of course, your personality may compensate for it in real life, something I can't judge from the photo.
