PSA for those in the Boston area:
was just in the Closet on Newbury and there's a couple of nice sneakers in there. Had a pair of Margiela hi's size 43 (in yellow) for around $280. They also had a pair of Pierre hardy's and a pair of Raf Simon's black hi-tops. about the $250-275 range. Don't remember.
then stopped into the Boylston Tannery, I'm not the hugest fan but all of their designer sneakers were 60% off. So they had a pretty wide selection of Lanvins and YSL's. The Lanvins were 500(lo's)-600(hi's) so whatever 60% off that would be. didn't ask if they had any other sizes, but from what I saw on display they ranged from 8-12 (lanvin sizing)

^ yeah, some kind of technical glitch seems most likely
i put some stuff in my oki-ni cart a few days ago and they did deduct vat on top of 30% off
studiohomme 50% off + vat (usual caveats: shipping is 30 euros, likely to be hit by fees, accounts of poor customer experience etc etc)
they have the summer achilles in sz 42 which after vat deduction + shipping should be around $200 assuming no ups fees
i put some stuff in my oki-ni cart a few days ago and they did deduct vat on top of 30% off
