Thanks Lufty...I kind of agree, I think the military tunic inspired coat looked much better buttoned, but they all got lost and I keep forgetting to replace them, Buttoned, and with a less formal shirt i think this may have worked?

I think I see what you're going for. I like the jacket, but I think there's not enough contrast with the trousers, though. I could even go for the boater, but would like it better if you were wearing some dark denim and the boater were the one twist in the outfit. As is, it feels like the fit is going in three directions at once.

New suit from Maxwell's... comments on fit welcome as alterations are free at local tailor. I think I would like just a bit more waist suppression. Shirtcuffs generally do show with this shirt and suit but not in this pic. Occasion: seeing a magic show.Originally Posted by kevinsp8
If you've got the shirtcuff issue taken care off, I think you're good. Be careful the tailor doesn't go crazy with the waist suppression. You're right - you only need a tiny adjustment there, if anything.
