What are your thoughts on Herringbone/Microherringbone?

Thinking of buying a medium to dark grey microherringbone suit. Can I wear it in the summer? is herringbone a fall fabric? Is microherringbone considered different? Is this more dependent on the weight of the fabric or the weave of the wool? How versatile is microherringbone? Thanks for the input fellas!

Most on SF will approve of herringbone and microherringbone. It is a winter/fall/colder weather fabric, although given the right color and weight, it can work for everything.
