What do I wear with a pair of dark blue shoes?

I recently purchased these Magnannis and for those of you who have owned or own blue dress shoes, I'm wondering what you wore them with. I thought of grey and blue suits when I purchased them. They'd probably also look okay with dressier jeans.

Any other ideas?

I would go for more contrast. White, khaki, off-white, red, etc. I'd stick to brown or black with gray or navy suits.

Hmmm, I hadn't thought of Brown. I have a couple of suits/SCs that are a medium brown with a touch of blue in the pattern.

My Khaki suit has fairly trim/narrow trouser legs and these shoes would really show off my size 12's in a less than flattering way..lol

Anything would work. But I would favor Light Colors - Tan, White, Wheat, Gray, etc.

true! contrast is important if you want them to "shine"

I have edward green beaulieus in midnight blue (pic attached). Frankly, I find them much easier to wear with jeans on the weekend than with slacks or a suit at work.

I agree, but you obviously haven't spent much time in the WAYWRN thread

Awww, the illustrious Mr. Spoo. Thanks for the pics! I really like the flannel or heather grey pants /blue shoe combo. That shade of green on the other slacks really sets those shoes off as well. I wouldn't have thought I'd be interested in wearing green slacks either but that is a dashing combo you put together. Me Likey!

I think tomorrow being Friday is a perfect chance to try something a bit daring.

Wish me well....
