Just watched Battle L.A.

I liked it because it is at least tried to make a somewhat plausible alien invasion movie.

Granted, there are still big problems with it, for example, the aliens can cross vast distances but yet cannot shield or armor their HQs ships enough to survive one smart artillery round?

That said, it was fun, and I appreciated the attempt at a more realistic seeming portrayal of an alien invasion.

As my numerous use of qualifiers made clear, "the attempt at a more realistic seeming portrayal." It is definitely that.

I, for one, am glad you created this thread. For the last three months or so, I have been unable to see Battle LA. I'd been waiting diligently for magogian12345 to weigh in on the subject, and on his own thread no less (Not for me that pesky, existing Battle LA thread!).

Now that he has created this thread and posted his assessment, I am good to go. A great weight has been lifted off my shoulders.
