The presidents and designers of both Flat Head and Real Japan Blues are coming from Japan for a party at Self Edge Los Angeles on June 11th from 7pm to 11pm.

Many things are happening during this weekend at SELA:
-During that same weekend from friday till monday we'll be having a 12% off sale at all three of our stores (and our online store).
-FH and RJB have sent over part of their Fall/Winter 2011 lines for pre-orders, you must be present to pre-order anything from the collection releasing later this year. Everything from jackets to shirts to tees will be on display.
-FH has sent over many shirts we've never carried before from past seasons, they'll be for sale at SELA during the same weekend at discounted (more than the 12% sale) prices.

-We're releasing a new collaboration jean and loopwheeled T-shirt between Self Edge, Flat Head, and Real Japan Blues. The jean is a new slim fit from Flat Head, details from both brands are on the jean, and a newly developed Zimbabwe cotton 14oz unsanforized denim from Real Japan Blues. All three stores will release this jean and t-shirt after the party. These turned out very well, we're loving both the tee and jeans.
-Intelligentsia is sponsoring this event, they have provided an espresso machine and grinders and Intelli-Venice baristas will be pouring various espressos from beans rarely seen before throughout the night. Beers also available for those wishing to sleep later that night.

Ok I love my A.P.C petit standard and Dior 19cm MII and was looking to buy a new pair of jeans with very similar fit, very good quality and amazing fading attributes. Does someone have a good advice for me . Thanks in advance PS. Looked into Flat Head but the pocket stiching puts me off (is there any way to remove that).

You can remove Flathead pocket stitching with a seam ripper, it's easy and done a fair amount on Flathead jeans as a lot of people don't like the stitching.

Flat Head SE05BSP (these have no visible stitching on the back pockets)

Self Edge x Flat Head x Real Japan Blues Jeans & Loopwheeled T-Shirt

For the first time we've done a two brand collaboration jean with both Flat Head and Real Japan Blues.

Flat Head and Self Edge have come up with a new slim straight fit and Real Japan Blues has developed a new 14oz unsanforized Zimbabwe cotton denim. The jean was cut & sewn at Flat Head's facilities using Flat Head hardware and 100% cotton thread.

We've had the left pocket stitched with the RJB arcuate and the right pocket stitched with the FH arcuate, both stitched in indigo colored thread for subtlety.

The fabric is a 14oz rope-dyed unsanforized Japanese selvedge denim, it comes loomstate, untreated after being woven. The denim was developed by Real Japan Blues to be a denim that would fade like Flat Head's denim but would feel more comfortable when worn slim or in warmer weathers. The Zimbabwe cotton yield's a softer feeling fabric over time even thought it starts out very rigid, not unlike Flat Head's current denim line-up.

We've also done a limited number of black loopwheeled tees with triple stitched collars, contrast stitching, and a front and back print. The tees came out great, we love the design which depicts the BOOMTIME message combined with a casino theme.


The SEXFHXRJB15 jeans and t-shirt will be released at all three Self Edge stores at Noon (Local Time) on Saturday, June 18th.
The jeans and tees will also be available online at 9am (PST) the same day in the online store under Flat Head and Real Japan Blues.

very nice jeans! I love the blue assymetrical backpocket stitching. Too slim for me, but a lot of people here should free up their evenings on June 18th and buy a pair.

Kiya, just curious, if I put through an order using the SE online shop and I reside in Canada, would there be a way to put a hold on shipping until the labour dispute at Canada Post is resolved? Or, are you denying all transactions to Canada at this point?

We've been shipping to Canada and somehow most of our customers are still receiving their orders.
