It's a bit of a hassle to set up but it essentially gives you a US based address to have items shipped to (and then forwarded out from there). As long as the store accepts international forms of payment the service works great.

The minimalist design of the shoe doesn't make a good first impression-- I don't think anyone would find these shoes handsome if they were just sitting on a pedestal unworn. The guys who designed the shoes really went to a lot of trouble to ensure that there was only very minimal stitching with no panelling. There are no contrasting colors on the shoe; from tongue, to upper, to the sole, the materials are white and really smooth. So there aren't any details for your eyes to hang on to and create a shape from. This isn't a problem when they're being worn though, and they look really nice in the mirror.
