what is milanese style, when it comes to interiors?

anyone? =( armani casa? versace home? capellini, poltrona frau? don't even know if the last two are milanese but i know they're italian.
is there a more contemporary style like in the armani/ versace?
and a more modern style like the capellinis? like colorful fish eye chairs for example?
i should look into the charme portfolio to see the other brands they have.

I don't think there is a Milanese style. I think you're just looking for "swanky". The only distinguishing feature these rooms all have is an abundance of glistening finishes on the materials, which is a direct contrast to their Scandinavian counterparts.

I agree. Like most open cities, there are vast influences coming in and out of Milan such that Milano modernism is somewhat trendy, and this translates to eclectic styles involving elements of Spanish art deco, French neoclassical, and German box structures, and lately Asian traditional, all contained in an amorphous urge to retain the legacy of Italian avant garde. Most of the interiors in newly built Milano business and residential buildings do not have defined themes and the styles are very similar to what you find in Barcelona and Shanghai. I think Florence and Venice are the only two cities with a more cohesive approach to interior planning.

Tell me what "Milanese style" is when it ranges from Citterio to Pesce (and beyond at each end)???
If they were solid gold, either apples or oranges or meteorites, and much, much larger, that room would practically shout Moscow.

so do you guys like the first post at least of romeo sozzi's apartment in milan? the one without the golden apples lol! that one is in paris. looks like it by the walls/ fixtures too.
