FINALLY found some Billy Reid! Two awesome shirts today. NWOT. The recent label stuff with the circled sizes and in my size to boot. Chambray is missing a button but I'll swap a button from the bottom of the shirt for now. Also found a gold paisley Oxxford Crest tie.

Speaking of which. I came across three cashmere ties from Oxxford today. Looked just like this from an old F/S thread of Texasjack's (borrowing his photo). $55 each. Any interest? I'm sure they'll still be there tomorrow. They also had some nice jackets from a label called "Bespoken".

Pulitzer makes some very good quality ties (lots of dregs as well). Some even have ancient madder silk. Depending on who they got to make it, there have been many with great weight and feel.

Nice score on the Billy Reid shirts. Based on all of my empty handed trips lately, someone must have been thinking of you while donating.

It's been really really dry during the times I've went recently. Today, I just picked up some summer shirts and a brand new Eton tie.

If you are in a college/university town, when the kids go home for the summer, thrifting will hopefully pick up...hopefully...

So true. I live in a college town. Hit up the SA yesterday. Big casual clothes score for me. Three pair of pants that fit me perfectly. Two just BR khakis, but one John Varvatos USA linen/cotton jean for $3. They are on the Varvatos website for $165

Wife says the "USA" patch on waist is a little **** but won't see it when wearing a belt. A few Polo and JCrew shirts too. http://www.johnvarvatos.com/Linen_Au...24/p/2904.html

Because there are so many of them. Supply & Demand.

Edit- Also in the 80s/90s they were also relatively cheap.
