good call. they are indeed a 9.5" opening. ( these are straights - can't do slim/taper due to years of squats.)

black shoes probably don't help the perceived smallness, tho.

Actually, you can find tapered jeans that will have a smaller hem but still have some room up top. Plenty of the 66-based repro cuts have a decent taper below the knee. I know there's a thread around here that's specifically about jeans for guys with bigger legs, and you might find a few recommendations on cuts that would work for you there.

Nice lifestyle, adamha21.

Yea....no. I used to think the same thing, but unless you're Ronnie bloody Coleman, you can fit into slim and tapered denim. In fact, tapered denim (nothing extreme of course) would probably look better on you. Tapered denim, sized correctly, has ample thigh space but the smaller leg opening and less material hanging off your lower legs will provide a more slimming silhouette.

shoes are from LD Tuttle. a goatskin wrap around kind of sandals that I got her for her birthday a couple of months back.

Wish I had the courage to do what Hendrix is doing, looks like a lot of fun.
