The lowest button on a shirt is a bit tight

Today, I bought a cheap Hawaiian shirt for casual wear. The sizes were S-M-L-XL etc...

So, I tried on L and it felt too loose and was too long, so I tried on M and it fit perfectly, except for one thing. The shirt hem reaches my hips and the lowest button is pulling a bit. All other buttons are just fine, just the lowest one is a bit tight.

So, is there anything I could do? Should I just leave the lowest button undone(Hawaiian shirts are supposed to be worn not tucked in, so I'm not sure if it's a proper thing to do) or could it be altered somehow? Of course, I could go back to the store and change it for an L size shirt, but then I would have a baggy shirt.

Buy two copies. Bring both to a trained tailor. Tell him/her your problem. She will graft the material of one onto the other. It will look like a little belt from one shirt to the other and at the end of that belt will be a buttonhole.

Nope, not that tight, just a little bit, not like the button would pop off any second.

What brand is the shirt? I have been looking for very slim fitting shirts.

I bought it from a store called Dressmann, but the shirt I bought was not slim-fit, the M size just happened to fit me pretty well. There are slim-fitting dress shirts in Dressmann, though.
