Haven't bought a suit in 15 years, haven't bought a SC in 6 or 7. I have NO idea how to correct the collar/lapel gap.

The suit is actually navy but it was very overcast and no respectable amount of color tweaking would make it appear anything but charcoal. Getting ready for a wedding - I still have a few days to do more shopping.

Lay it on me.

Thanks for the advice, PG ... I think. *

Looking around for the sarcasm icon*

On the one hand, I agree that my Citizen is bulky enough that it might be more appropriate for weekend wear than for suits and jacket/tie combos. On the other hand, I've noticed that more than a few WAYWRN Big Timers go to work wearing watches that seem more appropriate for scuba diving. I'm not namin' any names here, but one member in particular comes immediately to mind.

Not the best pic, I know, but you can just see a green-bezeled version of Big Ben peeking around his forearm:

Nothing to butcher here. Who made that sweet blazer?

To my eye, it appears that the tie is fighting with the shirt.

Epic disclaimer! Very impressive, Q.

few nitpicks about the fit of the jacket (shaping in the body, loose collar), emaciated shirt collar etc, ... all in all, it looks well put together and i suspect you will probably stand out in a positive way at the wedding (unless it is all SFers at the wedding).

i say go, have a blast and enjoy the wedding - and not worry too much about your clothed.

PRL, by Corneliani I guess.

Honestly though, the pants are a bit too tight and a bit too long, the shirt collar doesn't sit right, brown shoes would've been better, the right shirt sleeve got stuck on my watch and the photo framing is terrible. Mostly minor issues, but they all detract from the whole. Thanks to everyone for the compliments though!

switch to a plain white shirt and you're good to go. that shirt's way too casual for a wedding. Otherwise looks good.

Got pretty warm so the jacket came off though. Also sorry for the crappy pictures. Was I overdressed for Rapture? I need to know for next year!
