I can't remember which is banned now in Louisiana (and 49 other states), cockfighting or pink suits, but you can still wear one in Miama,
and live to tell the tale.

I remember this older woman who used to be Brett Anderson's girlfriend picked me up at the cockpit in Leeds one Saturday night. She lived in a nice part of Leeds and the next morning we got some breakfast in a pub frequented by very conservative types in blazers and khakis. I walked in wearing this crumpled pink suit, smudged eyeliner and "club crap" on the bottom of my trousers and shoes. Totally "rocked it".

I lived in Leeds for 10 years. Went to the cockpit a grand total of once. What a dive.

In fact i've yet to hear anyone personally( I'm not generalizing all pink lovers just stating my experience.) profess their fondness for the colour for anything else than" This will get me chicks bro!"
It's far too trendy for my taste and seems to largely attract the same crowd who wears axe body spray.
It has nothing to do with puberty though your attempt at wit or at least half of it is appreciated.

What about purple?

Maybe this applies to things as excessive as an entirely pink suit, but with regard to something like just a pink shirt this is complete and utter bollocks.

I'd wear it, in fact if it where in my size I'd be thanking you for bringing it to my attention!

I saw a guy in a pink seersucker suit last summer. He really stood out in the crowd.

This would be a special event **** for me. I would wear it on Kentucky Derby Day or to White Linen Night in New Orleans, Louisiana with a white shirt, an ascot and a pair of sand colored wingtip shoes and top it off with an Italian Boater.

Best regards,

Gatsby was one my mind also - the waistcoat makes his pink suit appear more stately. I like dusty pink shades for suiting; there's a nice Tom Ford-designed YSL suit on eBay that's too small for me, alas. I am also into the idea of a purple suit, perhaps in velvet or a luxurious wool

For that RJ suit, I'd consider candy striped, linen and silk shirts, accessorised with a neckerchief, perhaps

Like the contrast...

Pink linen jacket?

Maybe in the right environment...

Pink suits/trousers?

No way Jose.
