Congratulations, Spoo-meister, on achieving the five-digit mark for posts - I am sure that you have educated at least as much as you have been educated by your postings, for which I (and I am sure many others) thank you.

Thank you for indulging me. That is a very nice scarf with lovely tassels. You don't see silk scarves like that much anymore.

Full requote on this, Spoo. I love this suit. Reminds me of Rob's old T&A.

I like it Spooz. You have been pulling your elements together much better lately and there is a more cohesive aesthetic going on in your fits as of late. Still out there, but in a good way.

Your mosaic is a handsome piece, but those shoes - if you're a US 9.5/10, don't come to NYC, cuz I will mug you for them - in the patois of the street, I believe that they are da bomb.

Thanks Crusty. And, I see Fred is hard at work proving "Breinin's Styleforum Theorem #1."

Love it! Spoo, Great tie. Ed, Killer lapels and shirt collar. You do this as well or better than anyone on the forum. TTO, Tidier beard looks good; makes you appear leaner overall.

Thanks for the vote of confidence, Spoozy, and I echo Mike's comments in re: your latest fits - better coordinated, but still Spoozy - very kewl . . .

De rien, je vous assure. The scarf was bought by my late husband at T & A in Jermyn St. in 1984, or early 1985, and I've yet to see anything quite so bold from Turnbull since.

The loafers I bought via online from Charles Tyrwhitt, which means that they are probably rebadged Loake, and at the time, they were on heavy discount - I think that I snatched these babies for about $95. The only problem with buying shoes from CT is that they run quite large - their table of equivalents allows for a half-size difference between US and UK sizes, whereas it's really more like a full size difference.

+1. Not over-the-top (considering your style), but still lots of quirks to make it your own.
