Dupioni from the other pic is very nice; great color.

And the question of Osama´s death: i sincerely doubt he is dead, really. I´m pretty sure US intelligence has him in custody and will thoroughly question him to source more information. A burial at sea? Never. Why should they have done that?

Herrinbone massacre: shirt, sc and pants all herringbone.

Is it bad that I found out that Bin Laden was killed from the WAYWRN thread?

More closed fronts or a lower buttoning point on the jacket would probably suit the rise of those trousers better. Are the trousers part of a suit normally, by any chance? I have that issue with one or two suits; if I wear their trousers separately, it has to be in winter when I can add an odd waistcoat or jumper to mask the rise.

It does look better, yes. I don't like that particular tan shade of shoes with navy. Lots of people do, I think, but it looks a bit off to me.

I was fully prepared to take a load of isht about the boots, though not necessarily expecting it from you - an honest opinion, at least.

As for bin Laden's burial at sea, your theory is not without merit, but I cannot see him surviving a raid, even if he died by his own hand. Being captive by the US would be a worse hell for him than being dead (not that he doesn't deserve whatever hell he will find himself in).

Yes, your perspectives are warped, but not in a bad way - your priorities show that you value pleasure and sanity over pain and insanity (a.k.a. the news of the day).

No worse than getting one's "news" from FOX.

Luft that combo is so perfect for today!

It reminds me how much I want a blue plaid suit

It would also look great with a plain white PS, shirt and a purple knit tie IMO

I did too. I, for one, care about clothes way more than I care about politics.

Congrats! You're looking much better now. I think a v-neck sweater would improve the look. As would sleeker shoes.

Your jackets are still a bit boxy, but if I understand correctly all of them are your old jackets, and as such, they fit very well.

Next step for you is new shoes and new, more slim-fitting jackets. (not just tailored, but better-cut ones) Still, you look great.

Thanks. I agree on the v-neck. The shoes are my beaters. They're too wide, too long, and too boxy so I rarely wear them except on days where I don't want to subject other shoes to the elements. As for sleeker, well, I have these on order:
5635582299_3e914bd42f_z.jpg

but that will be a few months, and would definitely not be in this weather. As far as jackets go, I've been out trying things on seeing how they look, doing all that recently, but not really liking anything. The back of my shoulder seems to have an odd slope that doesn't fit well RTW. So, I've been putting together a list of details and am pretty well decided on my next big jacket/suit purchase being bespoke.
