First of all, middle school is such an American concept so that makes it lame by default. Secondly, I actually was in American "middle school" in the early 90s since I skipped grades 1-4.

its weird thinking that I was alone in liking this show... but if I'm bored and start talking with someone in their early to mid 30's (like on a plane or something) this comes up a lot.

speaking of mid to later 90's the Discovery Channel had this show that I watched obsessively:

the travellers:

The highlights of that show were:

the episode where they travel to spain for the tomato festival where they truck in tons of tomatoes into a town square and have a huge food fight/celebration.
any episode where the women where in bathing suits
any episode where the white chicks spoke spanish fluently (to the shock and amazement of the natives)
any episode that doesn't contain the new guys (a weird black guy and another white girl).

Michele the chinese chick was weird... i guess she was adopted by a white family and is basically a Twinkie.. but she's had a couple nude (even lesbo!) scenes and even a recent appearance on Community. She's got to be in her late 30's but can still look like she's in her 20's easy.
