Ha! This is an easy question. 'The Ten Commandments' with Charlton Heston acting Moses-like. Yul Brenner sulking and dangerous. The hot babe Nefertiri, Edward G. Robinson, Vincent Price, Hebrew Slave Girls. The special effects, cast of trillions. I have watched it every year for decades. Watched it as a youngster a couple of times on the Silver Screen. They don't make em like that anymore. So fantastic. "...a blast from God's nostrils!"

If you ever get the chance, look up any picture book on America's old theaters and movie houses. Should fill everyone old enough to remember with nostalgia, and fascinate the others with how low we have sunk as far as communal movie watching.

On the other hand, I do understand how convenient Netflicks is. Progress Marches On.

Hard to pick just one, but my Top 5 all time would be:

Star Wars
Animal House
Field of Dreams
Breakfast at Tiffany's
The Adventures of Robin Hood

Not saying this for humour and I rarely watch movies but my actual favourite movie is The Big Lebowski, I must have seen it close to a dozen times.

The hardon I got from seeing the Matrix shootout scene for the first time still hasn't gone down.

Don't know about all time, but in my lifetime I would have to say The Matrix.

Vertigo would be in my top ten. How about Singin' in the Rain? Or Raging Bull? Godfather? Casablanca? There are lots of movies that I love which wouldn't make it into my top ten. Top ten favourite films is just too hard! What about Bonnie & Clyde, Synecdoche New York, Pan's Labyrinth, No Country for Old Men, Juno, The Deer Hunter, Fargo, E.T., Amadeus, Apocalypse Now, Mississippi Burning, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Crash, Do the Right Thing, Raider of the Lost Ark, Ran, Tokyo Story, Platoon, Malcolm X, Schindler's List, Being John Malkovich, JFK, Almost Famous, Monster, Nashville, Chinatown, Woodstock, 2001: a Space Odyssey, Ulysses, etc, etc? Then there are the lesser known ones, like: Black Stallion, Hoop Dreams, My Dinner with Andre, The Right Stuff, After Hours, House of Games, Three Colors Trilogy and Z?
