Captain America did a similar thing in the late 70s/early 80s as Nomad.

What an asshole. He comes to this planet, gets taken in by an American family and raised and supported by our social and economic system, gets a good job at a major US media organization, and then when it suits his interests he abandons the country in its time of need. He's no better than multinational corporations that start out in the US then export jobs and profits overseas when they become big time. Well don't come crying for US intervention when the ******* Muslims decide to suicide-Krypton-bomb his stupid face.

**** Superman. **** him in his intergalactic ass.

EDIT - Looking back on it, he's not a citizen anyway. He doesn't have a US birth certificate since he was born on another planet and was never formally adopted by the Kents. So **** off you illegal immigrant swine.

I want to see his long form birth certificate before before I can believe his claim that he's giving up US citizenship. Where's Donald Trump when you need him on real stuff like this?

Is "Superman" a U.S. citizen? If so, how did that happen? Did he show up for his citizenship exam in full cape & tights outfit and give his name as "Superman"? Or did he become a citizen by act of Congress?

What about "Clark Kent"? Did he go through the citizenship application process? Or has he been carrying around fake ID - and working in the U.S. - all these years? (If so, INS would like a word with him.)

And even if "he" - which in this case means "both of them" I guess - actually is/are citizens: you can't just say "I don't want to be a citizen anymore". You have to file a petition with the State Department, and they're under no obligation to approve it. If he does successfully renounce U.S. citizenship, is he going to take up citizenship somewhere else? (if not, he'll be stateless, which basically means he's illegal everywhere).

Batman is way cooler anyhow.

Good for him. Why anyone would want to be an American, I'll never know.

F Superman. Just because he's not eligible to be President he renounces his citizenship entirely? *****.

EDIT - Too bad the real President isn't more like Superman.
