Except that it's not made out of tweed! That is a type of fabric, and is not the fabric used in that coat. Tweed is a heavy, rough, unfinished twill. That is not tweed. The photos are not good enough to see the weave, so I can't tell you what it is, but I can tell you that it ain't tweed.
Picking out buttons for a slightly lighter than navy suit. One of the options I have is some cream colored horn buttons. For a blazer I think that might look ok, but I am apprehensive about lighter buttons on a suit. What is proper etiquette for suit button color? Always matching in tone or darker?
You can get raw cedar shoe trees by Woodlore (AE subsidiary?) for about $10 a pair in places like K and G and Nordstrom Rack.
which shoes? linen or standard canvas?
I was thinking about the same thing last night. Went with the standard canvas because the sole looks odd on the linen version. It seems to come up much higher and makes the shoe look clumsy. Haven't seen them in real life, though.
If you don't thing the OP's coat is tweed, what would you call it?
Awesome, Thanks
