Deleted 36-38 Suit Post

So apparently even after I corrected the mistakes I made in my post where I was selling several suits and coats in sizes 36-38, the moderators still decided to kill it.

I understand that I made some newbie mistakes, but I think it was pretty clear that I wasn't running anything scandalous, so I really don't see the big deal? I was just trying to clear out some closet space by getting rid suits that I am not wearing, and I was offering them very reasonable prices. This uptight bs is exactly why I stay off of forums. I can kind of see why you might delete the post, but why ban me from starting a new post when it's pretty clear that I picked up on the rules and was abiding by them?

For those of you that emailed me, I got a ton of respones, so I suppose I will just email you all individually.

Rules are rules. If you bend them once or twice you may end up with communism.

All I'm saying is that rules are rules and you can't complain about unfair treatment if you've broken them.

On a side note, I really like the suits you have in your blog.

And on an even sid-er note, it's a pity I cannot see what you have for sale. I'm not saying you should treat this as a B&S thread, but I wouldn't delete your pm if you were to send me one.

Yeah I get it. The suits I was selling here were old ones that I no longer wear, not my brand. I was not trying to sell mine online and treat this as a storefront.

And either way, I fixed the issues, except that I couldn't delete the bumps (I did change them to ".." and removed my signature. Don't see the harm.

You don't see the harm because you are new and don't understand how competitive the B&S forum is for thread positioning - each bump is valuable.

I want you to post a legit thread, I'm a 36-38 but either you didn't read the rules or chose to ignore them. I would suggest asking a mod to delete the original thread or lock it and start a new, by-the-rules thread.

If you don't like the rules then you should not have joined or posted, period. You are an adult so this should not come as a surprise. I've noticed all of the best, most knowledgeable forums I belong to tend to be very strict and feel a bit unfriendly to newcomers... just shrug it off, follow the rules, and welcome to SF.

I can't post a legit thread and the last one was deleted. It's the internet. Don't take yourselves too seriously.

Sigh.

The thing is without rules, and following them, there is chaos. Don't believe me? Go to one of those nutbar forums like 4Chan and see where that gets you. Just like in real life we need some kind of rules to get along. The best forums I belong to are the strictest - because they want to have a high signal to noise ratio, dig? And I honestly don't think you understand just how competitive the B&S forum is. It's ******* cutthroat man.

True, true. Would someone bump my PS thread? I haven't sold a single one in two days.

sellers who disregard rules should have threads deleted.

sellers who don't like the rules and repeatedly say so should be banned.

Rules are rules. OP, get over it and move forward from here. Complaining about it will get you nothing but derision and get you nowhere. Move on.

Of course it was an accident. We can understand that. That doesn't change the reality that your thread was dealt with properly, according to the rules of the board here, and your creating a thread to complain about it reflects badly on you. Just let it lie and move on with your life.
