International deliveries to US

Hi guys,

I have somethign shipped from Sweden to US via Swedish Posten and I presume by USPS. For those of you who had packaged delivered from oversees how long does it take to receive the package? Will it be hold up by customs for long. It has been a couple of weeks already. I am not being impatient but I will be leaving country in a few weeks so I just wonder if I am going to receive it before I leave.

Recently, I've had some shipments from the UK take 7-8 weeks.

Ouch. Do you know waht was the hold up? At customs at our end??? By the way how do we pay for customs fee. Will package first be delivered to the local post office where you have to go to pick up the package and pay for the custom fees. I never had to pay for customs fees before so I wonder what the procedure is?

Customs have been backed up since the printer bomb scare. I imagine it's a security issue.

They usually deliver the item and then send you the bill.

Im waiting on a pair of Corthays for about 3.5 weeks now...

The customs in US have changed due these ******* terrorists. It could take up to 6 weeks. I shipped a package from The Netherlands to USA recently (trackable).

Yep. Everything gets checked after that printer bomb scare.
