I found their dynamic interesting but I also found the question about their working relationship really fascinating. Why would someone as obviously talented as Valentino's bf (I forget his name) choose to toil in someone's shadow during his entire working life and, apparently, be happy to do so? It's a pretty interesting question to consider.

Anyone see "The Parking Lot Movie"? It's pretty interesting (and streaming on Netflix).

Also, is that "Lo Lifes" documentary out? The trailer looked interesting, but I couldn't figure out if it's been released.

Fat Head. it is really poorly done but it does make you think about the diet industry. Valuable for sure and please note that I am not recommending it for its quality but rather its ability to inspire new thought.

The Up series is pretty fascinating. First one was filmed in the mid-60s, where the filmmaker took a group of about a dozen British 7 year olds from various backgrounds and asked them what they thought their lives would be like. Then every 7 years, films a new version with the same people and sees what they're doing with their lives. "56 Up" is due out sometime in the next year.

Continue my recommendation from the earlier thread for any Adam Curtis stuff, especially "Century of the Self". He has a new one coming out, "All Watched Over by Machines of Loving Grace", which I am more excited about than any blockbuster film.

Gotta disagree with you there bro'. I found the whole story to be totally fascinating. They take the time to map it all out in full detail so you know exactly how they were able to pull the whole thing off. I love little details such as where they tell you how they went about actually putting up the wire between the two towers. They do the whole thing in a very lighthearted yet mischievous manner that I thought was very enthralling. I thought it was so neat how they had all of that old footage from when he was younger of him practicing and how he and his troupe just lived like a bunch of bohemians.

I think it takes the "slower parts" as well to understand the amount of fascination involved, much rather than mere publicity.
